Project Overview
I love furniture! I began learning Blender in the summer of 2022, and of course I wanted to try an IKEA product. I love the aesthetic appeal of the GRUBBAN stool, specifically the curved legs and the wooden steps. This project helped me practice modeling curves as well as rendering different materials within one model.

Timeframe
2-3 days
I began with a reference image from the IKEA website. First, I modeled the legs, forming the frame of the stool. I added the supportive horizontal bar as well as screws. The last additions were the planks, and since they are wooden, they were also the most difficult to render. I am very happy with the subtle wood grain texture!
